Job Descriptions:

  • Act as the Finance subject lead for investment asks relating to complex and high-impact strategic initiatives including distribution channels, partnership models, customer campaigns, and operational transformation, ensuring robust financial discipline and alignment with corporate strategy.

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end approval lifecycle of business cases including reviewing of investment asks, conducting financial analysis & sensitivity modelling, coordinating with regional and Group stakeholders, and engaging with relevant approvers to ensure timely and well-informed decision-making within the governance framework.

  • Drive strong two-way collaboration between Finance and the business throughout the business case lifecycle, balancing strategic ambition with financial risk and governance considerations.

  • Partner closely with various business stakeholders to ensure the business case is precise summarizing the key objectives of the investment ask backed by reasonable returns on investment and validated underlying assumptions. Provide insightful and data-driven recommendations while highlighting risks (if any) to Management and governance forums to aid well-informed investment decision making.

  • Conduct and review post implementation review for approved initiatives to evaluate actual versus expected outcomes, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions or enhancements for future initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Actuarial, or related discipline.
  • Qualified accountant (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) or actuary with strong grounding in the financial metrics of life insurance business is preferred.
  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in insurance and financial services. Exposure to strategic initiatives, business case evaluation, or finance business partnering would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical capability with proficiency in financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, and data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Competent at stakeholder management at all levels and tactful in aligning interests
  • Effective communication skills with ability to adjust the tone, form and content for different audience and situations.
  • Capable of articulating own views/ stand points and influencing others in a tactful manner.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
