Job Responsibilities

  • Manage large-scale IT and application projects, including preparation of ACR documents, project planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews.

  • Drive the adoption of AI, Generative AI, and intelligent automation across application platforms to enhance business productivity, customer experience, and operational efficiency, in alignment with enterprise AI strategy and governance.

  • Oversee the design and delivery of AI-driven solutions (such as AI synthetic data generation, intelligent test automation, and AI-assisted programming) and ensure seamless integration of AI-enabled applications with existing core systems using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures, with a strong focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.

  • Lead the implementation of application solutions in alignment with the Application Management strategy, technology roadmap, business objectives, and local and regional IT directions.

  • Establish and enforce AI solution lifecycle governance, and oversee the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in compliance with established development methodologies and guidelines, including feasibility studies, requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, and implementation.

  • Recommend and deliver improvements to the business and IT environment by developing practical, scalable, and sustainable implementation plans aligned with business requirements and IT strategies.

  • Assist IT Management in evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies, including cost-effective AI-enabled solutions, to enhance sales capabilities, service quality, and operational efficiency while reducing overall operating costs.

  • Manage and coordinate application development teams, internal business stakeholders, and external vendors, ensuring an optimal resource mix and effective delivery in line with defined sourcing and resource strategies.

  • Drive project prioritization and steer application and strategic initiatives to meet stakeholder expectations, leading both IT and business teams to deliver solutions within approved scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Studies, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 12 years of IT experience, including at least 10 years in application development and 3 years in a senior IT management role within the insurance, banking, or financial services industry.

  • Solid experience with Core Insurance systems, including product configuration, new business, underwriting, claims, policy servicing, finance, and campaign management systems.

  • Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Generative AI concepts and their application within enterprise systems.

  • Hands-on experience or strong exposure to cloud-based AI platforms and services, including AI model integration and consumption.

  • Hands-on experience with integration technologies, such as API Management (APIM) and microservices architecture.

  • Strong insurance or financial services domain knowledge.

  • Proven track record in leading and delivering projects of varying scale and complexity.

  • Broad technical skill set covering modern development and automation tools, including Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot, with practical experience in technologies such as Informix, Visual Basic, .NET, Java, and PowerBuilder, as well as CI/CD pipelines, Windows, Unix, and AIX environments, database design, and web technologies.

  • Solid understanding and practical application of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

  • Strong knowledge of system design, development, and testing methodologies.

  • Proven leadership capabilities with strong project management, people management, vendor management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across both business and technical stakeholders.
