Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and test Linux kernel features to meet business requirements;

Automate testing of key capabilities and performance metrics on targeted devices;

Support multiple devices (existing and planned) via common solutions;

Integrate third party drivers (source and/or binary) for devices (E Ink, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.);

Develop and integrate drivers for custom devices including power management;

Debug complex, system-level, multi-component issues;

Identify performance bottlenecks and drive optimizations/solutions;

Collaborate with hardware manufacturing partners to diagnose and resolve functional or performance issues.

Requirements:

The Skillset:

Proficiency in Linux kernel development including:

-new board bring-up;

-managing multiple device configurations in parallel;

-integration and development of device drivers;

Strong C system software development skills including use of source control, bug tracking, testing, and design documentation;

Proficiency with source control using git;

Strong verbal English skills;

Knowledge of electronics and ability to collaborate with hardware designers;

Knowledge of operating system internals and device trees;

Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points:

Experience with integrating and supporting E Ink, touch, stylus, bluetooth, and WiFi devices;

Experience automating testing of device performance;

Experience supporting remote application developers;

Experience programming in Rust;

Experience with Yocto.
