What You'll Do
- Provide strategic legal and regulatory advice to senior management and business units on complex issues impacting daily operations and longterm growth.
- Draft, review, and refine internal frameworks and operating rules that underpin trading, clearing, and settlement activities.
- Negotiate and review a wide range of contracts, including vendor engagements, consultancy agreements, and crossborder cooperation arrangements.
- Collaborate with external counsel and manage typical inhouse legal functions across diverse business lines.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with at least 8 years postqualification experience, ideally with exposure to financial services or regulatory matters.
- Strong command of written and spoken English, with Chinese language skills required Putonghua proficiency is an advantage.
- A collaborative team player with commercial acumen and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in derivatives (including OTC), capital markets, structured products, or financial regulation in major jurisdictions will be highly valued.
- Prior inhouse experience is beneficial but not essential candidates from international law firms or global financial institutions are encouraged to apply.
