Major Duties: |
(a) | To assist in overseeing the daily operations and ensure effective management of resources of the operational unit |
(b) | To take a leading role in the development, validation and accreditation of programmes |
(c)
| To act as Programme Leader and serve on Programme Board(s), Boards of Examiners and other academic / management committees and work groups as required |
(d)
| To develop and review quality policies for the discipline / operational unit and to be responsible for maintaining the standard and quality of the training programmes |
(e)
| To explore new opportunities and develop new services / programmes for the discipline / operational unit, such as developing consultancy, in-service training programmes and top-up degree programmes |
(f)
| To participate in departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions and |
(g) | To perform teaching duties and supervise student projects where necessary. |

Requirements: |
(a)
| A recognised degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Veterinary Nursing, or Veterinary Medicine, preferably with a postgraduate qualification and recognized certificates in pet care and/or grooming |
(b)
| At least 5 years relevant teaching and / or industry experience at an appropriate level of responsibility in animal science or pet care industry |
(c)
| Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and team-building skills, ability to work independently under tight timelines and resource constraints with proactive attitude and strong initiative |
(d)
| Good presentation skills and high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua and |
(e) | Good linkage with the industry would be an advantage. |
