MuleSoft DevOps Engineer (MuleSoft Platform Operations & Development)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of overall IT experience and 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development and platform operations experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across the MuleSoft Any point Platform ecosystem, including development, deployment, administration, monitoring, security, networking, and operational support. The role requires ownership of both MuleSoft application delivery and platform reliability across cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deploy, and support integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4).
• Manage and administer Anypoint Platform components including Exchange, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Monitoring, VPCs, Dedicated Load Balancers, Private Spaces, and CloudHub deployments.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using RAML and OpenAPI specifications following API-led connectivity principles.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, release management, and environment promotion strategies.
• Monitor platform health, application performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive platform stability improvements.
• Implement API security policies, governance standards, authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, and SAML.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, platform upgrades, and operational readiness activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, network, and application teams to ensure reliable MuleSoft operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of MuleSoft development and platform operations experience.
• Strong expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Mule 4.
• Hands-on experience with Exchange, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Monitoring, VPCs, Dedicated Load Balancers, Private Spaces, CloudHub, and related platform services.
• Solid experience in API design, development, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of Data Weave, REST services, integration patterns, and messaging technologies.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD automation.
• Good understanding of networking, security, certificates, DNS, load balancing, and connectivity concepts within MuleSoft environments.
• Experience in production support, monitoring, incident management, and platform administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with Any point Platform governance and security frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Maven, SonarQube, and automated quality gates.
• MuleSoft certifications such as MuleSoft Certified Developer and/or MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale MuleSoft environments.

Experience:

10+ years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 5+ years focused on MuleSoft development, administration, and platform operations.
