Senior/Lead Infra Engr, Network

As an experienced Senior/Lead Infra Engineer, Network you will lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of enterprise and data centre network solutions. In this role, you will translate business requirements into resilient, secure, and high-performing network architectures, mentor a team of network engineers, and interface directly with customers to deliver strategic network solutions.

What will you do

• Translate organisational and business requirements into detailed technical specifications and design documents.
• Develop high-level architecture designs and refine them into low-level technical designs for semi-complex and complex systems.
• Draft installation and deployment plans, detailed layouts to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
• Assess risks, redundancy, and recovery strategies to ensure resilient and reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Engage with customers to articulate design choices, and present solutions confidently.
• Apply security baselines and configuration standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues, from simple to moderately complex problems.
• Implement corrective actions, escalate when necessary, and document resolution steps.
• Provide guidance and advice to junior engineers to build team capability and efficiency.
• Define, design, and execute test cases, scripts, and integration plans to validate infrastructure reliability and performance.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, designs, and test results.
• Record outcomes, track defects, and provide clear reports on risks, anomalies, and overall system quality.
• Propose improvements based on test findings and integration results.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of network engineers, ensuring knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Interface directly with customers, providing strong technical support and clear communication.
• Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing consulting team.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Education & Experience: Degree or equivalent with 8-10 years of IT/networking experience.
• Mandatory Certification: CCIE certification required.
• Core Expertise: Enterprise Network Design, Data Center Network Design, and Network Security Design.
• Specialization: Expert in 1-2 domains with exposure across multiple areas.
• Data Center Network: Proficiency in Nexus Switches (7K, 9K), NX-OS technologies (OTV, vPC, VxLAN, Fabric-Path), and Cisco ACI (SD-DC, L2/L3 Fabrics, VMM Domain Integration).
• Enterprise Network (Wired): Experience with 2-Tier/3-Tier architectures, MP-BGP, MPLS-VPN, Network Access Control (802.1x), and VRF-lite.
• Enterprise Network (Wireless): Knowledge of radio design, heat mapping, wireless security, rogue AP detection, and antenna design.
• Software Defined Access Network: Familiarity with VxLAN, APIC-EM, Cisco DNA Center, and SD-WAN.
• Security: Expertise in PKI infrastructure, NGFW/NGIPS, Cisco ISE, Stealth Watch, AMP, vulnerability assessment, and security baselines.
• Programmability (Good to Have): Skills in Ansible, Python, REST API, OpenStack, OpenShift, and UCSD.
