Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, develop, and support scalable backend applications.
The ideal candidate will have 5 - 8 years of software development experience, strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, and practical experience building and deploying applications on Google Cloud. Experience in retail, e-commerce, OMS, WMS, supply chain, inventory, fulfillment, or other high-volume transactional systems is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.
- Develop cloud-based applications and services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Work with product and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement integrations with upstream and downstream enterprise systems.
- Develop reliable and maintainable solutions following clean code, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective fixes.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, and solution discussions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA, DevOps, Architects, and other engineering teams.
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
Required Technical Skills
- 5 - 8 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong programming experience in Java/J2EE.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA and ORM concepts.
- Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
- Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes.
- Good understanding of distributed systems, API integrations, and enterprise application development.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following domains is highly preferred:
- Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Supply Chain Management
- Inventory Management
- Retail / E-commerce
- Fulfillment and Logistics
