Senior Java Developer – R&D Team

Anoud Technologies is hiring a Senior Java Developer with 6–8 years of experience to join our R&D team in Chennai (Work From Office).

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable, high-performance applications as part of our R&D team, contributing to innovative research-driven projects and next-generation product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications and microservices
• Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to translate research concepts into production-ready solutions
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, driving technical decisions
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application scalability and reliability
• Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Product teams throughout the SDLC
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with RESTful web services and microservices architecture
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and version control (Git)
• Understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Good to Have

• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Prior experience in a product-based or R&D-focused organization
• Exposure to performance tuning and system optimization at scale
