Role: Java Backend / System Developer (Senior)

Location: Taipei City

Contract: 12+ Months and Extendable

Senior Java Developer / System Developer with enterprise project experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain application systems based on functional and technical

specifications

Translate functional requirements into technical design and implementation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analysis, design, development, testing)

to deliver solutions

Participate in testing, system integration, and defect fixing activities

Ensure delivery meets project timelines, quality standards, and compliance

requirements

Support release activities and monitor production deployment

Provide technical guidance, code review, and support to junior developers

Assist in troubleshooting issues and improving system performance

Required Skills & Experience

Strong programming background in Java (or similar OOP languages)

Experience in system development, technical design, and implementation

Solid understanding of database concepts and DB scripting

Ability to work across the full development lifecycle (SDLC)

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Good communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in insurance or financial system development

Familiar with enterprise-level system architecture and processes

Experience in code review, unit testing, and production support

Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Report) is a plus
