Senior IT Manager in the School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 536227) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should hold a recognised Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other related disciplines with at least 10 years relevant work experience including and a track record of successful solution implementation in IT. A strong understanding of Learning Management Systems as well as common teaching and learning tools, and profound knowledge of Frontend and Backend Programming, data privacy protection, and security standards are expected. Applicants should possess demonstrated leadership and team management skills, and excellent stakeholder engagement abilities.

The appointee will be responsible for leading and developing IT strategies to facilitate the delivery of the School's teaching and learning initiatives, enhancing operational readiness and efficiency, and maintaining existing systems. He/she will collaborate with stakeholders to collect and analyse different users requirements, translate them into technical specifications, determine the feasibility of proposed solutions, and conduct user acceptance testing. The appointee will be supported by a team of IT professionals, who will assist in the development of various applications and provide technical support to end-users. Certain projects may require the appointee to engage and oversee vendors to ensure quality delivery of products.
