What We Need
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Golang Backend Engineer with strong recent Go experience and direct ownership of consumer-facing product features.
Relevant experience may include:
- Payments, wallets, subscriptions, checkout, or refunds
- Orders, carts, bookings, delivery, or marketplaces
- Chat, feeds, notifications, recommendations, or social features
- Gaming, betting, matchmaking, rewards, or loyalty
- User onboarding, identity, accounts, or growth features
You should be able to explain the user journey, the backend feature you personally owned, and how you designed, shipped, and supported it in production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong recent production experience with Golang
- Direct ownership of consumer-facing backend features
- Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience with Redis and Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS
- Good understanding of concurrency, idempotency, retries, rate limiting, consistency, and failure recovery
- Able to own features from technical design through production support
- Strong English communication and ability to work independently in a remote team
Responsibilities
- Build scalable Golang services for consumer products
- Design APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows
- Own features from technical design through release and monitoring
- Improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Troubleshoot complex production issues
- Work closely with product, frontend, mobile, and QA teams
- Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews
- Mentor other engineers when needed
Strong Advantages
- Experience in gaming, poker, betting, fintech, payments, e-commerce, social, travel, or delivery products
