The Role

What You Will Do

• Lead the end-to-end preparation, review, and timely delivery of statutory financial statements across multiple EMEA entities.
• Act as the key liaison managing relationships with external auditors, tax, and legal teams to ensure smooth, high-quality statutory audits.
• Ensure precise reconciliation and alignment between statutory and corporate reporting frameworks, including local GAAP to US GAAP bridge analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior accounting team members, reviewing deliverables for quality, consistency, and compliance.
• Partner cross-functionally with regional finance and controllership teams to resolve complex accounting, reporting, and audit issues.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements, workflow automation, and standardization across statutory reporting cycles.
• Maintain a robust internal control and documentation framework to uphold audit readiness and statutory regulatory compliance.
• Support the implementation of new accounting standards and global finance transformation initiatives across our statutory reporting network.

Required Skills and Experience

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in statutory accounting, external audit, or financial reporting within a multinational environment.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs across EMEA jurisdictions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with SAP or equivalent enterprise ERP systems.
• Strong analytical mindset, sharp attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage multiple entities under strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse cross-functional teams and geographies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive deliverables in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Professional accounting qualification or active certification (ACCA, CPA, or local equivalent).
• Prior audit experience within a Big 4 firm or a large multinational corporate center, including exposure to group consolidations.
• Track record of successfully contributing to or leading finance process improvements and automation projects.
• Fluency or working proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., German, French, or Spanish).

The salary range for the position in Slovakia is 2230 to 4000 EUR based on a full-time schedule at the time of posting. Your final compensation offer may vary depending on several factors such as job-related skills, education and experience that selected candidates bring to the team. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below the local minimum wage requirement.
