This role is an enabler rather than a front-facing finance business partner. Success comes from producing reliable insights, solving problems behind the scenes, improving processes, and equipping leaders with the information they need to make better decisions.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Analyse business performance and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
- Monitor key financial and operational metrics, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Investigate financial variances and identify root causes behind performance trends.
Business Support & Financial Insight
- Support Finance Manager and business leaders by providing accurate, timely, and relevant financial information.
- Prepare analysis and reports that help stakeholders understand business performance and key trends.
- Assist in identifying risks, opportunities, and areas requiring management attention.
- Provide financial data and insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
- Work closely with venue and department teams to gather information, clarify financial matters, and improve reporting accuracy.
- Contribute to the development of reporting tools and dashboards that enable better business visibility.
- Support cross-functional projects and initiatives through financial analysis and operational insight.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and recurring issues within finance processes.
- Drive automation and system improvements to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
- Develop scalable processes that support business growth.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting, workflows, and controls.
Ownsership & Accountability
- Investigate financial and operational issues to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Drive follow-up actions and ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Support stronger accountability and financial discipline across departments.
- Maintain high standards of governance, controls, and compliance.
- Take ownership of workstreams and follow through until outcomes are achieved.
