Senior Finance Executive

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure monthly closing accuracy, reporting requirements and deadlines are met

• Prepare monthly management report, financial analysis and audit schedules

• Preparation/reconciliation of monthly products P&L for retail business in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and China

• Preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements

• Preparation and submission of tax matters including GST

• Verification / posting of trade invoices and preparation of related parties transaction schedules

• Ensure compliance with both US GAAP and local Accounting Standards

• Work with external auditors, resolving any accounting or tax related issues

• Work with finance to support scheduling of annual budget preparation and review process in line with HQ Management Group and Board schedule

• Overseas and keep track of inventory level

• Perform other ad-hoc assignments and administrative duties as directed by the HQ Group Financial Controller

Requirements:

The individual should have the following experience:

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent

• At least 5 years of financial or accounting experience and demonstrated leadership skills

• Prior audit, retail experience and SFRS / IFRS knowledge is an advantage

• Experience in Consolidation and/or Management reporting will be highly favourable

• Ability to plan, organize a large volume of activity committed and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines

• Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and accounting systems

• Hands on experience with Xero will be an advantage

• Hands on, independent, self-motivated and committed with sense of urgency

• Experience working in a highly complex environment and able to undertake manual processes

• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese is a must
