Onsite a Japanese semicon manufacturer.

Sr. Global Field Service Engineer

(資深全球裝機工程師 - 台南)

Responsibilities:

• Travel: Willing to travel outside Taiwan for training and deployment. Flexible to travel to Europe, Japan, US & Korea depending on project requirements.
• Perform T0 to T2 (Milestones of Semicon - Equipment installation): T0 | Tool Arrival / Pre-Installation (Tool Move-In), T1 | Installation & Hookup Complete, T2 | Qualification & Acceptance.

• Tool Start-up & Commissioning:

*Execute Tool start-up activities based on OEM-defined checklists

*Perform Safe power-up and System initialization of Equipment

*Verify equipment readiness prior to process qualification

• Functional & Hardware Validation:

Conduct comprehensive Hardware functional checks, incl.:

*Motion systems (Robotics, Stages, Handler systems)

*Sensors, Actuators, Interlocks and Alarms

• Validate core equipment modules for proper working condition
• Ensure Subsystem integration and communication readiness
• Confirm Utility stability and System response
• Identify and resolve Start-up related issues and faults
• Perform Root cause analysis for Hardware or Interface issues
• Coordinate with OEM / Sr. engineers for complex failures

• Subsystem Verification

Check and validate:

*Wafer handling systems (Robot, Aligner, Load port, EFEM)

*Process chambers / Modules readiness

*Gas flow, Vacuum, Temperature, and Pressure systems

*Confirm Utility stability and System response

• Documentation & Compliance:

*Complete OEM checklists, reports, and start-up documentation

*Maintain accurate logs of issues, fixes, and observations

• Adhere strictly to:

*EHS and Cleanroom protocols

*Customer site procedures and Quality standards

Min. Qualifications:

• B.S. & above in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics or related technical discipline
• 3 – 6 yrs of exp. in Semiconductor FAB / Equipment Engineering / Field Service
• Hands-on exp. in Tool installation & Start-up activities
• Good English communication skills (spoken & written) TOEIC >550 or equivalent certificate.
• Willingness to work in Cleanroom / Fab environments and Global project sites
• Electrical Schematics
• Comp. skill: Exp. using Excel, Word, PPT

Strong understanding of:

• Semiconductor equipment modules (any one or more): Lithography / Dry Etch / Thin Film / Diffusion / Metrology / Wet
• Tool start-up procedures as per OEM guidelines
• Electromechanical systems & Control logic

Hands-on exp. in:

• Tool power-up and initialization sequences
• Hardware functional checks and Subsystem verification
• Handler & wafer transfer system validation

Working knowledge of:

• Sensors, Actuators, PLC basics, Interlocks
• Utility systems (Electrical, Gas, Vacuum, CDA, Chilled water)

Ability to:

• Read Schematics, P&IDs, Wiring diagrams, and OEM manuals
• Execute structured Troubleshooting and Fault isolation

Preferred Qual.

• Exp. in Semiconductor Wafer FAB environment
• Exposure to OEM start-up checklists and Qualification procedures
• Understanding of Process flow and Tool integration in Production line

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret Technical journals & Reports
• Ability to compile Reports and compose routine Correspondence
• Ability to define Problems, Collect data, establish Facts, and draw Valid conclusions.
• Ability to Travel extensively, when requested by customer.

Language:

• Bilingual Mandarin and English – Read, write and Speak

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Work is performed at the factory and individual customer sites as required
• The incumbent is routinely required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, touch, see, and hear, and may be required to lift or move up to 50 lb. (<=40 kg); over 50 lb. w/ assistance. Ability to claim ladders, Squat, Crawl into machines for Installations.
• While performing the regular duties of the position, the incumbent is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The incumbent must be able to wear safety equipment and follow safety instructions.
