The Global Technical Service (GTS) Division is responsible for customer application engineering, focusing on design-win, design-in, and post-sales support of all Innodisk products.
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Field Application Engineer (FAE/AE) to bridge the gap between our DRAM products and customer edge AI server & enterprise server systems. You will play a critical role in memory validation, system-level debugging, and providing high-quality technical support to ensure seamless integration and performance in server environments.
Job Mission
- Lead the technical enablement, validation, debugging, and customer deployment of DRAM products on server platforms (Networking / AI / Enterprise).
- Support customers in memory compatibility, performance, and stability validation to ensure seamless integration into server systems.
- Participate in system-level debugging, analyzing and resolving memory-related technical issues.
- Serve as the primary technical interface for customers (FAE / AE), providing design-in / design-win support and post-sales technical assistance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, product management, and sales teams to provide issue feedback, improvement suggestions, and solution discussions.
- Assist customers with platform configuration, memory parameter tuning, and performance optimization, based on project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain test reports, technical documentation, and validation results to support customer engagement and internal project execution.
Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in EE, CS, or related Engineering fields.
- DRAM Expertise: Solid understanding of JEDEC standards and hands-on experience in DRAM/Memory module validation, testing, and debugging.
- OS & Scripting: Proficient in Linux/Windows environments; ability to use CLI (Command Line Interface) and execute automated test scripts for mass data collection.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to independently investigate root causes in complex system environments.
- Soft Skills: Integrity & Customer-Oriented: Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when facing demanding clients.
- Resilience: High EQ and confidence when communicating under pressure or during high-stakes project deadlines.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel (domestic/international) for on-site debugging and technical alignment at customer data centers or labs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in FAE or Technical Support roles within the Server, Cloud Service Provider (CSP), or IPC industries.
- Advanced Debugging: Proficiency with high-speed signal tools: Oscilloscopes (Real-time/Sampling) and Logic Analyzers (DDR Protocol Analyzers).
- Experience with Memory Margin Testing, Bit Error Rate (BER) analysis and intel RMT and AMD Memory validation/debug tools.
- Server Architecture: Familiarity with Server Hardware architecture (e.g., BIOS/BMC interactions with Memory).
- Understanding of high-speed protocols: DRAM, NVMe, PCIe Gen4/5/6, and sideband signals (I2C/I3C, SMBus).
- Programming: Ability to write/modify test scripts (Python, Shell, or Perl) to automate triage processes.
- System Knowledge: Prior experience in AIoT, Edge Computing, or high-density Server I/O cards development.
