Senior Executive, Clinical Operations

(Tengah General and Community Hospital)

In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to clinical service planning, infrastructure development, and resourcing planning. Your contributions will play a crucial role in optimizing patient journeys, enhancing patient experience, and expanding access to care. You can expect to work in a fast-paced environment and be challenged to navigate complex healthcare needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist to provide inpatient and operations subject matter input during user engagement workshops and hospital planning process, with the aim of optimizing patient journeys and enhancing patient experience.
  • Work alongside clinicians and other stakeholders to plan clinical workflows and healthcare IT system.
  • Assist discussions for road-mapping Tengah General and Community Hospital development from clinical service planning, infrastructure development and resourcing planning works.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants, medical planners, and internal stakeholders to develop service flow design and planning parameters aligned with the project's strategic intent.
  • Assist to facilitate workshops and coordinate meetings with stakeholders to understand project requirements, develop appropriate methodologies, technologies, and assumptions for assigned projects.
  • Assist to develop end-user briefs, operations requirements, guidelines, and work processes, organizing workshops to gather user requirements and test new models virtually and on physical prototypes.
  • Assist to prepare business cases to seek approvals for infrastructure growth and associated funding.
  • Responsible for tracking, monitoring and providing updates from various work streams and planning areas to the management, escalating concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist to prepare of periodic reports to update the Tengah General and Community Hospital Committee on the progress of the project.
  • Assist to organize and lead activities in relation to the development of the Tengah General and Community Hospital.
  • Assist in implementation of the operational models in line with the development of hospital services and care models and ensure that it is in accordance with the budget and guidelines.
  • Assist to coordinate meetings, book venues, collate agenda, minutes writing and arrange for catering requirements when necessary. Maintain filing system, manually or electronically in shared drive.
  • Assist to raise procurement and payment requests as required.
  • Any other projects/tasks assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in clinical operations, and/or inpatient healthcare operations covering areas like wards, ICU, and admissions office. Candidates with more relevant experience may be considered for the Assistant Manager position.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationship at various levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and nurture the team to meet operational goals.
  • Self-directed, resourceful and self-motivated with an analytical mind and good problem-solving skills.
  • Able to multi-task and work under a stressful environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
