The Office of the Provost is inviting applicants for a Senior Executive/Assistant Manager position in a new residential college to be inaugurated in 2025.

Residential Colleges provide a unique living and learning experience for undergraduates in their first and second year. This new residential college will offer the UTown College Programme (UTCP) and contribute towards a holistic education that integrates academic, social and personal development.

The incumbent for this position will provide administrative support for admissions and residential life matters at the residential college. This is a full-time position which is offered on a 2-year renewable appointment for the first instance and is intended to be a long-term appointment for a suitable candidate.

The following lists the key job functions for this position:

  1. Manage and coordinate annual college admissions / senior retention exercise:
    • Submission of essays
    • Shortlisting of applicants and facilitate interview process
    • Keep track of and update all application statuses
    • Manage and respond to emails to college admissions mailbox
    • Coordinate relevant selection processes for senior retention exercise
  2. Liaise with NUS Hostel Admission Services (HAS) for annual room registration exercise for incoming residents.
  3. Maintain accurate accommodation data and statistics for approximately 600 residents.
  4. Manage and communicate with students on room registration, payment matters, and room change requests.
  5. Attend to all student enquires related to residential life matters.
  6. Undertake any other assigned duties as and when required.

Qualifications

  • A university degree with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Willingness to learn with an eye for detail.
  • Adaptable with a positive work attitude.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
