Your Job

Responsible for the development and optimization of thermal solutions across a diverse portfolio, including optical transceivers, cages, and liquid cooling products. You will provide technical guidance, influence product designs through insightful thermal analysis, and drive innovation in thermal methodologies and technologies. With your strong background in air and liquid cooling, mastery of simulation and validation tools, and a passion for continuous improvement, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact thermal solutions that meet global customer needs.

What You Will Do

  • Lead thermal design and optimize thermal solution for Molex CSBU product, including optical transceiver, cage and liquid cooling product.
  • Provide thermal design guidance to team members and influence product design through thermal insights and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Conduct thermal analysis and calibration through thermal simulation and validation.
  • Generate comprehensive thermal assessment and propose thermal design to internal and global customer.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in thermal design methodologies and technologies.
  • Perform new cooling technology study including heatsink, TIM, two-phase cooling solution and liquid cooling.
  • Conduct thermal analysis and thermal calibration through thermal simulation and validation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Master's degree in Thermal Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years on-hand experience in thermal design and thermal validation, focusing on server thermal solutions.
  • Experience with thermal design for both of air cooling and liquid cooling.
  • Knowledge of heat conduction, heat convention, fluid dynamic and SOC thermal characteristics.
  • Proficiency in thermal simulation tools such as FloTHERM, FloEFD or Icepak.
  • Experience with CAD (NX, Creo or SolidWorks) to design test fixtures and create thermal solution drawings
  • Fluent in English, with exceptional communication skills.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Experience with server, switch systems or liquid cooling supplier.
  • Experience in optical transceiver industry.
  • Have strong ownership in project management.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities, including knowledge of Design of Experiment (DOE) and statistical analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with proficiency in bi-lingual communication.
