The Role:
Entegris is seeking a Plant Quality Engineering (PQE) Engineer to drive manufacturing quality excellence and ensure stable, consistent production processes aligned with established quality standards. This position is located at Entegris Taiwan Kaohsiung.
As a Plant Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in overseeing KSP-S factory quality performance, driving process control and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. The position requires strong technical and analytical capabilities, structured problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including production, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, supply chain, and global quality teams.
As a PQE, you will be responsible for monitoring production quality, reducing process variation, improving yield performance, and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented within the plant. You will work closely with manufacturing teams to support daily production, manage quality excursions, and drive sustainable process improvements that enhance operational excellence and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with production teams to deliver high‑quality products while supporting business unit or profit center KPIs.
In this role you will:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive plant quality performance through effective process control, root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Lead factory quality issue resolution by utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, RCA, CAPA) to address product and process nonconformance.
- Support daily manufacturing quality activities by monitoring critical process and product parameters, ensuring process stability and compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor and improve key factory quality metrics including Yield, Scrap, DPPM, CCPK, SPC, and Cpk to achieve operational and business objectives.
- Manage non-conforming materials and products, coordinate containment activities, prevent recurrence, and ensure timely disposition with production and engineering teams.
- Partner closely with Production, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to drive sustainable quality and process improvements.
- Apply statistical analysis and SPC methodologies to support process capability improvement, control plan effectiveness, and manufacturing risk reduction.
- Conduct process audits, quality reviews, and production line assessments to ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in qualification and validation activities for new products, materials, equipment, tooling, and process changes to ensure manufacturing readiness and quality performance.
- Support change management activities including risk assessment, documentation updates, process verification, and implementation effectiveness tracking.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, performance tracking systems, quality reports, CAPA records, and continuous improvement project documentation.
- Collaborate with global quality organizations and cross-functional manufacturing teams to standardize best practices and enhance operational excellence across sites.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
- Experience in quality, manufacturing, process, equipment, or materials engineering within semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industries.
- Solid experience supporting plant/manufacturing quality operations, including process control, line quality improvement, excursion management, and continuous improvement activities.
- Hands-on experience with quality methodologies and tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan, 8D, CAPA, DOE, process mapping, and statistical data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to perform root-cause analysis and drive effective corrective and preventive actions in manufacturing environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve quality and process issues.
- Familiar with manufacturing KPI management including Yield, FPY, Scrap, DPPM, CCPK, Cpk, and process capability improvement.
- Knowledge of quality systems, change management, audit processes, risk assessment, and qualification/validation activities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, planning, and execution skills with the ability to influence and drive operational improvements.
- Ability to identify opportunities and implement sustainable quality and process improvements that positively impact manufacturing performance and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
