Senior Product Applications Engineer

About The Role

As a member of ADI's Advanced Consumer Power team, you will contribute to the development of power management solutions for Smartphones, Wireless headsets, AR/VR devices and Gaming consoles. Partnering with a world-class engineering team, you will support the product life cycle from concept to mass production for our IC portfolio, including DC/DC conversion, PMICs, and discrete charging.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design: Execute schematic and layout design for evaluation boards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product definers, IC design, and business management to support product evaluation and optimization.
  • Validation & Optimization: Perform bench characterization, performance optimization, and contribute to the development of automation testing environments.
  • Technical Documentation: Author high-quality application notes, user guides, and datasheet publication.
  • Customer Support: Provide advanced technical support, and training to key customers and field applications teams.
  • Collaboration: Participate in technical reviews and collaborate with team members to ensure project success.
  • Business Development: Assist BU and Field team in identifying and securing new business opportunities.

Must Have Skills, Preferred Education And Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience: 36 years of professional experience in analog/power electronics, specifically in DC/DC power conversion, switching regulators and battery chargers.
  • Application Knowledge: Solid understanding of power architectures in Smartphones, AR/VR devices, Gaming and Wearable technology.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise in hardware/firmware co-design, with proficiency in Python or C for automation.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
