Job Summary

Lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems for infrastructure and building projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimized, compliant solutions on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for infrastructure and building projects to meet client and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design efforts and ensure timely project delivery
• Conduct detailed mechanical analysis and calculations to optimize system performance and efficiency
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and reports, to support project execution
• Ensure all mechanical designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality control measures
• Present technical solutions and progress updates during client meetings to facilitate informed decision-making
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative approaches into mechanical designs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department to enhance processes and outcomes
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve project goals effectively

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of mechanical engineering experience focused on building services design
• Proven leadership in managing complex mechanical engineering projects
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or Inventor, and AutoCAD
• Experience coordinating multidiscipline design teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to mechanical engineering challenges
• Effective communication and leadership skills to guide teams and engage stakeholders
• Competence in project management and budget control to ensure project success
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, collaborative environments
