Job Description

The position is one of the key members to implement the eMPF project, which will greatly impact Manulife in the future as regards the business strategy and operating model. The major work of this role, reviewing various statutory/contractual/regulatory documents, is essential to safeguard the rights and interests of Manulife.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of the corporate or business projects, with focus to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Scrutinize various statutory, contractual, and scheme documents, codes, and guidelines, providing comments and inputs to finalize the documents.
  • Liaise and negotiate with various internal and external stakeholders to devise policies or measures related to the development of project or initiatives.
  • Engage to evaluate the adequacy and appropriateness of control structure and tools as regards MPF operation and identify improvement needs.
  • Prepare relevant documents or papers for submission to the regulator as and when required.
  • In light of the latest legislative or statutory changes, address possible gaps and opportunities by making recommendations for changes from the governance perspective.

Required Qualifications:

  • possess good communication, writing, and reading comprehension skill including the interpretation of regulatory materials.
  • Good interpersonal skill required in the negotiation and liaison with various stakeholders.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented and organized
  • Conversant with MPF legislation or having regulator working experience an advantage
  • At least 15 years of working experience
  • Candidates who cannot meet all criteria may be considered for a less senior position
