Job Responsibilities

Client Management & Business Development

• Serve as senior point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong, lasting partnerships.
• Identify and implement tailored solutions aligned to client needs and strategic priorities.
• Represent the organization in governance meetings and lead proposal development and bid defense strategies.

Project Delivery

• Own strategy and execution across complex clinical research projects.
• Conduct regular reviews (risk, financial, and delivery) to maintain project health.
• Leverage analytics for proactive risk mitigation and drive excellence in delivery performance.

Financial Stewardship

• Ensure budget accuracy, profitability, and appropriate scope management.
• Oversee resource planning, negotiate change orders, and align financial and operational strategies.

Leadership & Team Development

• Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture across cross-functional teams.
• Mentor project leaders, empowering independent problem-solving and continuous growth.
• Support onboarding, training, and performance optimization efforts.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure delivery of compliant, high-quality studies aligned with ICH/GCP and FDA regulations.
• Lead data-driven reviews to mitigate risks and resolve quality concerns.

Strategic Initiatives & Innovation

• Drive corporate and departmental initiatives focused on efficiency and innovation.
• Support change management related to systems, tools, and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 1012 years of progressive experience in clinical research within a pharmaceutical, CRO, or biotech environment.
• Extensive project leadership and client relationship management experience.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and ICH/GCP guidelines.
• Proven ability to deliver large, complex projects on time and within budget.
• Exceptional financial, strategic, and leadership skills.

Summary

The (Senior) Director of Strategy & Delivery (DSD) plays a pivotal role in leading our research projects. This position is responsible for ensuring the strategic and operational success of project delivery while fostering strong client partnerships, maintaining financial health, and driving organizational growth and innovation. The DSD collaborates across functions to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with both client expectations and corporate objectives. The role demands a strategic mindset, operational excellence, and strong leadership capabilities to influence positive outcomes for clients, stakeholders, and the organization. The DSD's success will be measured by client satisfaction, operational efficiency, financial performance, and the development of high-performing project teams.
