Job Requirements:
- Lead and manage inorganic projects - target screening, due diligence, valuation, and communications with stakeholders for buy-in and approval
- Optimising our shareholding arrangements. Support senior management to resolve issues on a shareholder level for our JVs and business units
- Lead and support engagement with key Exco members and local business unit leaders to develop and articulate our strategic growth agenda
- Build and maintain relationships with key external advisers and networks. Obtain intelligence about market trends, ideas and competitive moves
- Conduct/lead high quality analytical assessment of opportunities to advise/support GEC decision making.
- Access to good market intelligence, be plugged into the insurance and asset management deal networks including the potential pipeline, motivations of our counterparties and what has worked and what has not.
Job Qualifications:
- Deep experience and track record in managing M&As and major partnership agreements
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of our business/financial drivers
- Sound knowledge of our key insurance and asset management markets Strong experience in managing and working with various advisers including investment bankers, accounting/tax firms, actuarial firms and legal firms
- Wide set of knowledge of the deal issues, and experience of leading/covering strategic/financial assessment, legal, regulatory, tax, operations/tech, political areas leverage other expert help/advisers as needed
- Experience in building and leading a high performing team will be an advantage.
