Senior DevOps Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead automation and DevOps initiatives across non-production and production environments. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD, and automation platform management, driving operational efficiency through modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, configure, and manage automation platforms in non-production and production environments.
• Lead and coordinate automation initiatives with operations teams.
• Develop, maintain, and deploy automation playbooks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Chef (Ruby), Groovy, and JavaScript.
• Operationalize automation use cases to improve service delivery productivity.
• Implement automated testing procedures in testing and production environments.
• Manage version control and code governance for IaC playbooks.
• Configure and operate Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab platforms, ensuring SLA compliance and platform stability.
• Mentor DevOps engineers in automation playbook development.
• Integrate automation solutions with ITSM and enterprise tools.
• Support presales solutioning and technical documentation for automation projects.

• Reduction in manual operations and turnaround time
• Quality and compliance of IaC code
• Adherence to CI/CD and release timelines

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Mandatory)
• DevOps or automation tool certification (Ansible, Terraform, or Chef) – Mandatory

Experience:

• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in IaC code development and automation for IT Managed Services.
• Strong experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Chef setup, configuration, and management.
• Proven background in CI/CD pipeline design, version control, and automated testing.
• Experience with DevOps platform setup and end-to-end implementation of IaC in production environments.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix/Windows system administration.
• Hands-on experience with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible for automation and compliance management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, Groovy, JavaScript, Perl, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MySQL databases.
• Familiarity with RPA playbook development is an advantage.
• Exposure to Cloud DevOps (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
