Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Component Selection & Cable/Connector Design

  • Component Selection & Alternate Management: Oversee selection, specification defining, and second-source evaluation for server board-level components and connectors. Conduct project BOM checks and track Hit Rates across all development stages.
  • L10/L11 Routing Design: Design L10 & L11 system cabling and routing plans using Creo/Cabling to optimize rack space utilization and prevent mechanical interference.
  • Sample Development & Review: Review technical specifications for cables and connectors. Collaborate with suppliers on sample fabrication and validation to ensure full alignment with custom requirements.

2. Quality Analysis & Manufacturing Support

  • Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: Drive root cause analysis for component and cable quality anomalies. Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) to establish validation methodologies and implement preventive/corrective actions for NPI and mass production.
  • NPI & SOP Optimization: Support factory system-level cable assembly builds (System Build for Cable Routing). Review and optimize Cabling SOPs to enhance Manufacturability (DFM).

3. Advanced Technology Assessment & Team Support

  • New Technology Integration: Monitor industry interface standards and supplier technology roadmaps. Evaluate the feasibility of adopting next-gen cables/connectors and serve as the technical point of contact (POC) for internal and external teams.
  • Technical Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain selection guides, validation reports, and part-number databases. Develop training materials to ensure engineering consistency across the R&D team.

Preferred Qualification

  • 5+ years of experience in electronic component engineering or a related field.
  • Proven R&D experience with AI Servers, Laptops (NB), All-in-One PCs (AIO), Industrial PCs (IPC), or Workstations.
  • Proven track record of leading projects independently and cross-functional communication.
  • TOEIC 650+ (or equivalent), with fluent English speaking ability and direct experience interacting with international suppliers or clients.
