Senior BLDC Motor Design Engineer

TTS is looking for an experienced Senior BLDC Motor Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Taipei. This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on the design, simulation, optimization, and validation of BLDC motors for high-performance cooling fan applications.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in both electromagnetic and mechanical motor design and can independently take a motor from initial requirements and specification through validation and mass production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop BLDC motors for cooling fan applications.
• Lead new product development from requirements and specifications through design verification and mass production.
• Lead electromagnetic and mechanical motor design and performance optimization.
• Design and optimize rotor, stator, and related motor components.
• Perform electromagnetic, structural, and vibration simulation and analysis.
• Define motor performance specifications and establish design verification processes.
• Lead DFM, DFMEA, design verification, failure analysis, and reliability improvement activities.
• Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to optimize motor performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Support motor integration into the complete fan system.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout product development.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers and international teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in BLDC fan motor design and development.
• Deep expertise in BLDC motor electromagnetic design and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of motor mechanical design, including rotor and stator integration.
• Ability to independently lead product development projects from concept through production.
• Proficiency with Maxwell, ANSYS, or equivalent motor design and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of motor manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing.
• Experience with motor performance testing, reliability validation, and failure analysis.
• Experience with fan system integration and performance optimization.
• Strong English communication skills with the ability to work directly with international customers and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing BLDC motors for cooling products used in humanoid robotics, automotive, or related applications.
• Knowledge of EMC, acoustics, vibration, and related motor system challenges.
• Previous experience as a technical lead, project lead, engineering manager, or R&D team leader.
