Job Description

Working as part of the HR Centre of Excellence, the successful candidate will support the University's compensation and performance management agenda, contributing to fair, competitive and performance-oriented HR practices. The role involves providing operational support for salary and bonus reviews, market benchmarking, compensation analytics and policy support. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners to ensure the consistent application of reward frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer annual compensation and performance management exercises, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with established policies and governance requirements.

  • Prepare data analysis, cost modelling and management reports.

  • Support the review and administration of salary structures, compensation guidelines and reward programmes to maintain internal equity and market competitiveness.

  • Advise stakeholders on guidelines and process requirements

  • Draft communications, FAQs and briefing materials to support compensation & reward initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support reporting, governance and audit requirements.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data integrity and user experience.

  • Participate in HR projects and system enhancement initiatives related to rewards.

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in either compensation and benefits, rewards, performance management or related field.

  • Experience supporting annual salary reviews, performance bonus exercises, job evaluation and market benchmarking activities.

  • Experience in a public sector agency, autonomous university, institute of higher learning or large, complex organisation would be advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data and trends.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR reporting or analytics tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.

  • Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

  • Ability to analyse issues, exercise sound judgement and provide practical recommendations.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
