About The Job

Molex is seeking a Senior Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) Engineer to take the ownership and responsibility of managing product and process development, optimization and readiness throughout all phases of our new product introduction (NPI) phases to drive a profitable and on-time launch, including product qualification documents, process performance and readiness, and risk identification and mitigation elimination.

What You Will Do

  • Engage and drive PM (Product Manager) / PJM (Project Manager) / MIE (Manufacturing Integrated Engineer) /PD (Product Designer) to effectively document voice of customer (VOC), to manage NPI expectations,and to ensure products meet customer specification and application requirement.
  • Enforce proper understanding and application of Engineering and AQP deliverables such as DfM, FMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, for product development process (PDP) execution. Remove barriers in the way to project success.
  • Ensure good thorough and proactive quality management performance and AQP execution on new product developments with a focus on critical products in Copper Flex Products, Asia (CFPA plant).
  • Support the implementation of a robust PDP process to be able to anticipate problems, identify risks, prevent, and improve up front. Apply economic thinking to priopritize issues, quantify risks and apply economic thinking in their resolution.
  • Provide product qualification documents to customer for approval.
  • Execute process audit and lead to close the findings at NPI stage.
  • Drive and improve the cost of poor quality (CoPQ) at NPI stage.
  • Enhance/LEAN current process as a long-term continual improvement activity.
  • Continually seek to learn and advance the application of our Principle Based Management philosophy to develop mutually beneficial relations with internal and external stakeholders, and to support self actualization and transformation

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Industrial, Electronic Engineering or similar engineering related field
  • Well Practical knowledge of SPC, PDCA, 3-Legged 5-Why, Shainin, Ishikawa and similar problem solving skill, MSA (Minitab software).
  • 2+ years experience in the areas of Product Development Engineering, Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Evident leadership skills to influence a cross-functional team to make good risk-adjusted decisions.
  • Fluent English in terms of speaking and writing.
  • Passion and willingness to take challenge.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in IATF 16949 (automotive) and medical industries
  • Experience in Automotive NPI methodologies (timing, milestones, requirements)
  • Good understanding of industrial reliability test (including Automobile, Medical, Datacom... field).
  • Experience in high precision component manufacturing (Flexible Printed Circuits - FPC) is preferred.
  • Shainin / Six sigma ceetification for green or black belt.
