About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the full spectrum of financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and business partnering activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management across both entity-level operations and corporate support functions.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise accounting operations across the business and corporate support functions.
- Manage the full spectrum of financial accounting activities, including general ledger, costing, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial statements.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business performance evaluation.
- Manage corporate tax and GST filings, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Review and oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions to ensure effective cash flow management.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit engagements, ensuring timely resolution of audit matters.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on IFRS standards and Group accounting policies.
- Assess and recommend accounting treatments for complex transactions, contracts and business arrangements.
- Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and governance.
- Partner with business stakeholders to provide financial insights and support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of IFRS accounting standards, particularly:
- IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers
- IFRS 16 Leases
- IAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE)
- Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modeling.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems will be advantageous.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
