Semiconductor Technical Support Engineer (Japan Region)

We are hiring Taiwan-based Engineer or Fresh Graduate (0 – 12 years of experience) for a full-time, permanent Technical Support Engineer position.

This role is open to Taiwan Citizens or Foreign Residents currently based in Taiwan who possess JLPT N3 or higher .

Language & Location Requirements (Strict Must-Haves)

• Location: Must be currently living/based in Taiwan (open to Taiwan Citizens or legal residents).
• Japanese:Mandatory. Must hold a minimum qualification of JLPT N3 or higher
• English:Mandatory. Professional proficiency
• Chinese (Mandarin): Optional (an added advantage, but not required).

Job Duties

• Work on customer sites within semiconductor cleanroom environments.
• Provide software support for all Semiconductor customers in the region.
• Troubleshoot software issues and prepare technical reports for customers.
• Set up and maintain lithography tools and related supporting software.
• Learn and apply fundamental knowledge of lithography tools and operations.
• Prepare software release notes and customer-facing documentation in English.
• Provide support during weekends, public holidays, or nighttime when required (infrequent but possible).
• Travel overseas for business, mainly within Southeast Asia, Japan, Taiwan, and India (future).
• Collaborate closely with on-site engineers and overseas software engineers.
• Communicate directly with customers and deliver clear technical reports.
• Escalate software issues to Japan headquarters when necessary.
• Plan and conduct software training or knowledge-sharing sessions for engineers and team members..

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in software support for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux OS commands and operations.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with semiconductor wafer manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of the semiconductor chip manufacturing flow.
• Understanding of the basic structural makeup of lithography equipment.
