Job Description

Job responsibility:

  • Lead the development of the agency's strategic medical/scientific direction in line with business strategy, establishing our company as an industry leader.
  • Lead, inspire, and foster a high-performance culture among medical writers, strategists, and scientific communications professionals, encouraging professional growth and excellence in all deliverables.
  • Provide strategic oversight for scientific content creation, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement best practices, rigorous quality control, and standardized processes to continuously improve editorial standards, operational efficiency, and team performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and providing strategic guidance, while identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion.
  • Lead scientific portions of new business presentations, representing the agency's expertise and strategic thinking to prospective clients.
  • Represent the agency at industry conferences and events, and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and medical societies to enhance reputation and drive business growth.
  • Stay current with industry trends, guidelines, and regulations to ensure the team's work remains compliant and competitive.
  • Identify and implement innovative technologies, tools, and workflows to improve team collaboration, efficiency, and client deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Degree in life sciences, medicine, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical communications or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bilingual Chinese and English as this role is local based and require to communicate with APAC team.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing editorial or scientific teams.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
  • Ability to drive change and implement process improvements effectively.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business development skills.
