Job Overview

The Indirect Procurement Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sourcing strategies for industrial equipment, machinery, technical services, and consumables. This role ensures optimal cost, quality, reliability, compliance, and technical suitability while supporting business continuity, manufacturing efficiency, and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and external suppliers to ensure high-performance supply solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers for industrial equipment, machinery, technical services, and consumables to ensure supply reliability and quality compliance. Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to drive performance, ensure technical capability, service reliability, and long-term support.
  • Cost & Contract Leadership: Lead commercial negotiations covering equipment purchases, service agreements, spare parts pricing, and long-term maintenance contracts. Track market conditions and pricing trends related to industrial equipment, consumables, calibration, and technical services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to define technical specifications and sourcing requirements, support new equipment introduction and upgrade projects, and address equipment performance issues and supplier technical gaps.
  • Compliance & Systems: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal SOPs, WIs, and applicable regulatory and quality standards. Support GMP-related requirements where applicable, especially for inspection, measurement, and calibration equipment. Maintain accurate supplier, equipment, contract, and service data in ERP systems and prepare reports for sourcing performance, pricing updates, and project tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of sourcing experience in industrial equipment, machinery, technical services, or manufacturing-related environments.
  • Solid understanding of measurement and inspection equipment, calibration and testing lab services, OEM spare parts and equipment lifecycle management, industrial oils, lubricants, and air/gas systems.
  • Proven skills in supplier sourcing, cost analysis, negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication abilities in both Chinese and English (verbal and written).
  • TOEIC score of 800 or above is required.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, proactive mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
