The Role

The role ensures the stable, accurate and timely operation of Human Capital Management processes in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, covering:

SAP HCM - PA (Personnel Administration)

- Master data management (infotypes), employee actions, contracts and organizational assignments
- Integration validation with time, payroll and self-service platforms

SAP HCM - OM (Organizational Management)

- Organizational structures, positions and relationships
- Plan version consistency, delimitations, PA/OM synchronization

SAP HCM - TM (Time Management)

- Attendance/absence management, time evaluation, rules and schemas
- Integration with external time/attendance systems and payroll

SAP HCM - PY (Payroll)

- Payroll calculation, retroactivity, wage types, deductions/earnings
- Schemas, rules, operations and legal/tax calculation
- Posting to FI, offcycle payroll, postpayroll processes and legal reports

The role includes functional analysis, incident/request support, testing, documentation, integration validation and support for payroll/time closing cycles within the AMS framework.

Key Responsibilities

1) Incident and Request Management (AMS)

  • Diagnose and resolve issues in PA/OM: infotype inconsistencies, PAOM synchronization, employee actions, organizational structure adjustments.

  • Support TM processes: time evaluation errors, rule inconsistencies, attendance/absence calculations and integrations with external time systems.

  • Address PY issues: schema/rule errors, wage type miscalculations, retroactivity issues, tax determination, offcycle corrections and payment processing.

  • Validate payroll postings to FI and troubleshoot integration errors affecting financial entries or banking files.

  • Monitor the entire payroll cycle: prepayroll checks, calculation, validation, approval, posting, payment and statutory reporting.

  • Manage tickets based on priority, impact and SLA compliance within the AMS service model.

2) Functional Analysis and Process Validation

  • Validate PA/OM structures, infotype dependencies and organizational assignments.

  • Review and maintain payroll schemas, rules and calculation logic (functions, operations).

  • Validate TM evaluation logic, schema processing, grouping parameters and work schedules.

  • Ensure data consistency between ECC and S/4HANA (clusters, time results, payroll results, PA tables).

  • Validate endtoend scenarios across hiring, time management, payroll and financial posting.

3) Technical Coordination within the SAP Ecosystem

  • Prepare RICEFW specifications for ABAP developments (interfaces, reports, enhancements, BAdIs/exits, SmartForms/Adobe).

  • Collaborate with Basis/Security teams on authorizations, structural profiles, Fiori catalogs (for S/4), transport management, performance tuning and HRrelated background jobs.

  • Validate integrations with external systems (time clocks, attendance solutions, banking systems, payroll interfaces, document management, etc.).

  • Ensure alignment with AMS operational policies, governance and changemanagement processes.

4) Documentation and Operational Compliance

  • Maintain updated documentation on configurations, process flows, test evidence and operational manuals.

  • Provide documentation for audits, internal control reviews and compliance with labor/regulatory requirements.

  • Record recurring solutions and contribute to the standardization of best practices in the knowledge base.

5) Testing, Releases and Change Support

  • Participate in SIT/UAT cycles for PA/OM/TM/PY.

  • Validate transports and functional deliverables in release cycles for ECC and S/4HANA.

  • Support postrelease stabilization by monitoring payroll results, time evaluation, integrations and master data.

6) Continuous Improvement within the AMS Model

  • Identify optimization opportunities in time evaluation, payroll calculation, organizational structures and master data processes.

  • Recommend improvements to enhance performance, stability, automation and traceability.

  • Promote standardization, documentation quality and operational efficiency.


Who You Are

Required Technical Knowledge

  • SAP HCM (PA, OM, TM, PY) in ECC and S/4HANA.

  • Strong expertise in Payroll: schemas, rules, retroactivity, legal/tax calculation, clusters and offcycle.

  • Solid understanding of Time Management schemas, rules, calendars and work schedules.

  • Payroll posting to FI and financial reconciliation of payroll results.

  • ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and ALM tools (Solution Manager, ChaRM).

  • HR authorizations, structural profiles, logs and trace analysis.

  • Excel (advanced), Teams and collaboration tools.

  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and AMS practices.

  • Clear communication with technical teams and HR/Payroll stakeholders.

  • Analytical thinking and structured diagnostic capabilities.

  • Strong organizational and documentation discipline.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or related fields.

  • +3 years experiences

  • SAP HCM certification (PA/OM, TM or PY) preferred.

  • ITIL certification preferred.

Experience

  • Proven experience providing SAP HCM functional support in AMS environments.

  • Handson experience in Payroll (PY) and Time Management (TM).

  • Experience in environments with multiple integrations and high operational load.

  • Participation in rollouts, stabilization efforts or ECCS/4HANA migrations.

Work Model
  • Availability for night shifts, oncall rotations and offhours support windows, especially for payroll cycles or system installations.

  • Collaboration with global and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Remote or hybrid work model, with 24/7 operations as required.
