Job Description

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in air freight, sea freight, import, export, warehousing, and logistics services.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and growth opportunities.

  • Lead negotiations for major contracts, pricing agreements, and service-level agreements.

  • Achieving sales target

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and strategic customers.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Resolve escalated customer issues and service concerns promptly.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with major clients to identify opportunities for service enhancement and business growth.

Sales Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental targets.

  • Establish sales KPIs, monitor performance, and provide coaching and development.

  • Conduct regular sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and performance evaluations.

  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales professionals.

Commercial & Pricing Management

  • Develop competitive pricing strategies for air and sea freight services.

  • Work closely with operations and procurement teams to optimize service offerings and profitability.

  • Review quotations, tenders, and contract proposals for major accounts.

  • Ensure margins and profitability targets are achieved.

Strategic Planning

  • Prepare annual sales budgets, forecasts, and business development plans.

  • Monitor sales performance and market conditions to adjust strategies when necessary.

  • Identify emerging markets and new service opportunities.

  • Support the company's expansion initiatives and strategic partnerships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Ensure customer requirements are communicated effectively across departments.

  • Participate in management meetings and contribute to overall business planning.

Leadership Track Record

  • At least 5+ years managing large, cross-functional sales teams, handling strategic key accounts, and directing regional or global customer engagements.

Industry Acumen

  • Deep knowledge of international shipping procedures, incoterms, end-to-end supply chain solutions, and air/ocean freight operations.

Regional Network

  • Established connections and localized knowledge of trade lanes in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, air freight, and sea freight sales.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.

  • Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, import/export procedures, customs regulations, and supply chain operations.

  • Established network within the logistics, and freight forwarding industry.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic planning abilities.

  • Singaporean only.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Years of Experience : 8 years and above

  • Required Skills : Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.

  • Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, import/export procedures, customs regulations, and supply chain operations.

  • Established network within the logistics, and freight forwarding industry.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic planning abilities.
