Company Description Roots Innovation is a Singapore-based technology company that empowers institutions across the region with robust capabilities in AI models, data management, and digital transformation.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Business Development role based in Taipei. The Sales Business Development professional will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and manage a pipeline of prospects, and drive the end-to-end sales cycle from outreach to closing. Responsibilities include conducting market research, understanding client needs, and positioning Roots Innovation's technology solutions—especially in core systems, data, and digital transformation—to address those needs. The role involves preparing and delivering presentations and proposals, coordinating with internal technical and product teams, and ensuring a smooth handover from sales to delivery. The individual will maintain strong relationships with existing clients, support account growth, and provide feedback from the market to help refine go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills to engage prospects, manage stakeholder expectations, and build long-term client relationships.
  • Proven lead generation and market research skills to identify target segments, qualify opportunities, and gather competitive and industry insights.
  • Solid analytical skills to understand client business challenges, interpret data, and propose appropriate technology solutions.
  • Experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in technology, fintech, banking, or enterprise software environments.
  • Ability to work on-site in Taipei, manage a sales pipeline, and meet or exceed revenue and activity targets.
  • Comfort collaborating with technical teams and translating complex solutions into clear value propositions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in traditonal chinese and japanese ( is highly advantageous)
