Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies for reverse logistics that align with the company's overall supply chain and business objectives.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline reverse logistics processes, reduce turnaround times, and improve cost-effectiveness.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to monitor and report on return trends, inventory levels, and performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, customer service, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of reverse logistics processes.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors to ensure efficient returns processing and cost management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all reverse logistics operations comply with relevant regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or reverse logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Understanding of reverse logistics processes, inventory management, and sustainability practices.
