Job Description
The CUHK Jockey Club Institute of Ageing invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
Applicants should have (i) a Master%27s degree in Public Health, Gerontology, Nursing, or a related discipline plus four years of post-qualification work experience (ii) knowledge and experience in ageing studies and community health (preferably with frontline experience) (iii) proven experience in preparing academic documents, research reports, and other written deliverables for funders or external stakeholders (iv) experience in compiling guidelines and research protocols (v) excellent written communication skills with the ability to present complex information concisely while highlighting the key messages (vi) strong organisational skills and attention to detail (vii) good interpersonal skills and (viii) an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese is compulsory). Candidates with knowledge of statistics and data analysis will be an advantage.
The appointee will work under a Jockey Club-funded community project for promoting healthy ageing and be responsible for (a) preparing academic manuscripts, project reports, and other scholarly documents (e.g., ethics approval and trial registration) (b) writing reports for funders and external parties in accordance with specified requirements and timelines (c) compiling guidelines and research protocols (d) coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., teams of allied health professionals and the WHO) to gather and synthesize information for reporting purposes (e) ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of all written outputs and (f) performing other duties as assigned.
