Counterpoint Research is a fast-growing global analyst firm. Our analysts produce a significant body of research that needs to be optimally presented. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic research associate to assist our research efforts.

This is a global associate role where you will develop and contribute original insights into how the foundry industry and the Cloud AI Server market are evolving, with exposure to key players across the value chain — from foundries and IP/EDA vendors to AI accelerator designers, hyperscalers, and ODM/OEM server builders. This should help you develop knowledge, profile, and grasp of what it means to be a future star analyst.

Job Description:

This is a global associate position where you will support senior analysts in building models for the foundry industry and the Cloud AI Server market and learn to generate original insights into how these markets are evolving. You will also be required to engage with key technology companies across the entire value chain — including foundries, fabless designers, hyperscalers, and server ODM/OEMs.

The role will involve:

• Support the senior analyst to create a rich body of qualitative and quantitative research insights.
• Manage databases within the Counterpoint Research model database and ensure timely completion and checkpoints at various stages.
• Contributing short analyses to ad-hoc requests and analysis by working and cooperating across various teams within the company.
• Working with the team on the Counterpoint Research foundry and Cloud AI Server tracker programs by researching, interpreting, and recording relevant information in proprietary databases.
• Expressing your industry viewpoint through blogging and sharing weekly industry insights within the team.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

You hold a B.S. or B. A with 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the semiconductor, technology research, or financial analysis sectors; advanced degrees are also welcome.

You already have interest and working knowledge of the semiconductor industry — ideally with familiarity in foundry processes, AI accelerators, or server/data-center hardware — and can express your views clearly and concisely.

In addition, you can demonstrate the following:

• Self-motivation and a keen interest in analyzing the technology and semiconductor sectors. You are ready to interpret trends and can articulate your understanding in an engaging way.
• The ability to analyze and synthesize the available data and bring out value-added insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in written form, in English.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Ability to work confidently as an individual contributor, as well as being comfortable as a team player.
