Job Description

The Language Education and Positive Psychology (LEaPP) Lab in the Faculty of Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our research team. The appointee will contribute to interdisciplinary projects in the fields of language education, educational psychology, and positive psychology. Please visit the website .

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Second/Foreign Language Acquisition, or other related disciplines (ii) demonstrated experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (iii) strong quantitative research skills are essential, particularly in statistical analysis using tools such as SPSS, R, or Python (iv) hands-on experience in data collection and management, such as survey, interview, coding, and handling large datasets (v) the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment and (vi) a strong interest in interdisciplinary research, especially in the areas of language education, educational psychology, or positive psychology. Experience with qualitative methods (e.g., interviews, thematic analysis, case studies) is a plus. Applicants who graduated from a Bachelor's or a Master's degree programme in 2026 are also welcome to apply.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in various aspects of research, such as data collection, data coding, statistical analysis, and dissemination of findings (b) supporting research-related events and activities (e.g., workshops, conferences) and (c) performing general administrative duties and other tasks as assigned.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance.
