The Department of Social Work invites applications for the position of Research Assistant. The appointee will primarily support Prof. Angela Cui's research project centred on End-of-Life Care delivery for people with disabilities.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Work, Social Sciences or Public Health (ii) excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English and Cantonese (iii) strong communication and interpersonal skills (iv) a keen sense of responsibility and self-discipline and (v) the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Candidates with research experience in End-of-life care, mental health and disability studies are preferred. Those eager to deepen their understanding in these fields and the skills to work with people with disabilities are welcome to apply.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing administrative, logistical, technical, and on-site support for research activities such as data collection, consumer consultations, reflective discussions and knowledge-sharing workshops (b) collaborating with internal divisions, external organisations, and various stakeholders (c) managing recruitment, data entry, analysis, and other research-associated duties (d) assisting in preparing research reports and (e) carrying out any other tasks assigned.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
