The Department of Social Work invites applications for the position of Research Assistant / Junior Research Assistant. The appointee will be supervised by Prof. Randolph Chan and providing support to research projects on the mental health of gender and sexually diverse individuals.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or related disciplines (ii) an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (iii) solid skills and experience in quantitative data analysis (iv) good multi-tasking, communication and interpersonal skills (v) a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline and (vi) the ability to work independently and in a team. Applicants with knowledge of sexual orientation and gender diversity issues will be given priority. Relevant full-time post-qualification work experience in research will be an advantage. Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as a Junior Research Assistant.
The appointee will be responsible for assisting the Principal Investigators and Co-Investigators in (a) conducting literature reviews (b) performing statistical analysis of large-scale survey data (c) liaising with different parties for data collection (d) compiling and drafting research reports and manuscripts (e) handling general administrative tasks and (f) undertaking other duties as assigned.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
