Research Assistant I (holding functional title of Data Analyst)

The Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine, is seeking a full-time Research Assistant I (Ref.: 532898) to commence as soon as possible. This is a temporary position with a one-year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.

Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Medicine, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Evidence of academic excellence in undergraduate/ postgraduate studies.
• Strong written and spoken proficiency in Chinese and English (e.g., TOEFL/IELTS).
• Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in programming (e.g., R/SAS/STATA).
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

The appointee will be responsible for research projects in health and health services, pharmacoepidemiology and epidemiological studies on non-communicable diseases using population-based cohorts in Hong Kong and overseas.Key tasks include:

• Conducting literature reviews.
• Cleaning and analyzing data.
• Assisting in the preparation of academic publications and reports for funded projects.
• Performing other tasks as required by the team.
