The Chinese University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with MIT-RAISE, co-created the Al Education for Students Project. With funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Project aims to cultivate AI literacy and competencies in students, empowering them to learn more effectively, use technology more discerningly, innovate more creatively, and be better prepared for the future workplace and society. The Project engages schools to provide equitable access to quality AI learning for students in Hong Kong.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Artificial Intelligence/Computer Science/other Engineering disciplines/Education/Business Administration/Communications/Chinese Language Studies (ii) a strong understanding of emerging technologies in STEAM education, with familiarity in AI concepts and their application in educational contexts (iii) excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively engage with teachers and students (iv) great enthusiasm for a successful career in AI Education and a commitment to fostering 21st-century skills in young learners (v) a collaborative work attitude, self-motivation, and a strong sense of commitment and (vi) proficiency in Cantonese, with fluency in English and Putonghua. The following attributes/qualifications are desirable: (1) prior teaching experience, preferably with additional qualifications, such as a PGDE (2) a strong grasp of artificial intelligence knowledge (e.g. deep learning, transformer) (3) proficiency in programming (e.g. Python, C/C++, Java) and (4) experience in developing/training/applying AI models.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) collaborating with professors and teachers to design, edit, and publish high-quality training materials and teaching and learning (T&L) resources on AI for both teachers and students (b) designing and delivering engaging, interactive workshops and training sessions on AI-related topics for students and teachers (c) conducting presentations and training in a professional manner with content adapted to suit the needs of diverse audience (d) analysing the specific needs of individual schools to identify challenges and opportunities in implementing AI education and (e) undertaking any additional projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
