Role Description This full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur focuses on driving regional growth for Infors Bioprocess solutions through application support and business development activities. The Regional Application and Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage key customer accounts, and build strong relationships with research institutions, universities, biotechnology companies, and distributors. Daily responsibilities include understanding customer bioprocess needs, proposing suitable solutions, conducting product demonstrations, and providing application-level support and training. The role also involves analyzing market trends, contributing to sales strategies, preparing proposals and quotations, and collaborating closely with internal technical, sales, and operations teams. The manager will be expected to travel within the region as needed to meet customers, attend industry events, and support product installations or evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills and Business Analysis capabilities to assess customer requirements, market trends, and sales performance.
  • Solid understanding of Business Process and process improvement to streamline sales, application support, and customer engagement workflows.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology relevant to bioprocess equipment, laboratory systems, and CRM or sales tools.
  • Demonstrated Team Leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across sales, technical, and support teams and guide regional initiatives.
  • Qualifications in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in bioprocess, laboratory equipment, or scientific instrumentation sales or application support. Ability to problem solve process constraints through scientific approaches.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English and Malay (additional regional languages are beneficial).
  • Comfort with customer-facing roles, regional travel, and working independently to meet targets and deadlines.
