BEFORE YOU APPLY: Please read the compensation information at the bottom of the page!
OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for a Recruitment Manager to help expand the production and artistic force behind Soul Atlas, our expansive fantasy universe spanning comics, games, music, and films.
In this role, you will identify, engage, and recruit exceptional talent - from concept and layout artists to environment designers, video editors, marketing specialists, musicians, animators, 3D modellers, and motion specialists. You will serve as the bridge between Soul Atlas leadership and the creatives who will bring new corners of our universe to life.
Part-time role, approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Typical workload includes:
- 3-5 meetings per week
- 30 minutes of daily communication
- 2–5 hours of independent work per week
ABOUT THE COMPANY
We are creating films, games, and comics - stories with soul - for our own fantasy universe (think Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc., but smaller - for now hehe). We started 4 years ago as a small team of folks who were initially supposed to package a TV show. Finding ourselves unwilling to sign away our IP, we decided to build out the universe ourselves to retain (creative) control. Now, 4 years later, our rag-tag band of pirates has grown to over 200 members.
Our current slate includes 3 short films (2 in active development, 1 in post production, 30min each), a comic book series (9 issues of Season 1, 45 pages/issue), and two games (one Card Game online and offline version featuring our characters and factions, and one TTRPG with one shots, campaign rules, and region expansions). We also produce music, art, and have our own in-house media marketing element and ops.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write clear, compelling job descriptions tailored to a wide range of disciplines
- Source and engage qualified creative candidates through online platforms, communities, and direct outreach
- Manage the full recruitment pipeline: screening, scheduling, coordinating, and conducting interviews
- Evaluate portfolios for skill, stylistic alignment, and fit with the Soul Atlas vision
- Maintain organised candidate tracking systems and hiring documentation
- Partner with leadership to forecast future hiring needs and refine recruitment strategies
- Monitor Email frequently to keep track of Applicants
YOU
- Prior recruiting experience, ideally focused on creative roles
- Demonstrated success in sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding talent
- Strong understanding of artistic disciplines is a huge plus
- Ability to assess and discuss creative portfolios with nuance and professionalism
- Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a remote, international team
- Passion for fantasy, history or worldbuilding is a plus!
COMPENSATION DETAILS
Time Investment:
Part-time. Approximately 10–15 hours per week, flexible week to week. You set your own boundaries and communicate availability clearly.
Salary:
At this stage, there is no salary for anyone on the team, from leadership to producers to contributors.
Profit Participation:
Instead of salary, Soul Atlas operates on a profit participation / ownership-based model. We are finalising a structure that allows contributors to share directly in the future success of the company.
This is fundamentally an investment contract (time invested in exchange for profit participation and/or royalties). In the application link, you will find a detailed breakdown of the model so you can make an informed decision. We fully support any due diligence you wish to conduct prior to joining.
Thank you very much for considering the collaboration.
We hope to see you on the other side, and that we grow together while building Soul Atlas into something truly special.
All the best,
Your Soul Atlas Team
