R&D Manager – Wheel Systems

We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented R&D Manager to lead the Research and Development function for Wheel Rim and Tire Wheel Assembly products. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new product development, product improvement, design validation, material optimization, and technical innovation while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and business objectives. The R&D Manager will work closely with customers, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to develop competitive products that deliver superior performance, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead new product development projects from design to production launch.
2. Develop innovative products that meet customer and market requirements.
3. Drive product localization and cost reduction initiatives.
4. Manage product design, engineering calculations, and technical documentation.
5. Review and approve engineering drawings and specifications.
6. Conduct design verification, validation, and performance evaluations.
7. Oversee product testing and validation activities.
8. Analyze test results and implement design improvements.
9. Collaborate with Manufacturing to improve product quality and manufacturability.
10. Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
11. Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
12. Lead, coach, and develop the R&D and Engineering team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in Product Development, Engineering, or R&D within manufacturing industries.
3. Minimum 5 years of management experience leading engineering or R&D teams.
4. Strong knowledge of wheel rim design, steel structures, welding, and manufacturing processes.
5. Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Inventor, or AutoCAD).
6. Knowledge of DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, and product validation processes.
7. Familiarity with FEA and engineering simulation tools is an advantage.
8. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
