The R&D Engineer is responsible for Engaging in New Product Development (NPD) of advanced filtration projects and Continuous Improvement Program (CIP). Provides support within the group and cross-functionally as needed to drive innovation and transfer to manufacturing. Contributes to NPD roadmap using application knowledge from the Semiconductor industry. Role is a part of our R&D team at our Taiwan site focused on photolithography and wet etch and clean chemicals.

This position reports to the R&D Director and is part of the Research and Development located in Taiwan and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Leads experiments in the advanced development of filter assemblies and performance testing for cutting edge semiconductor photolithographic processes.
  • Leads innovation and develops new technologies, builds new ideas that enable New Product Development
  • Works closely with global and local customers via appropriate channels to evaluate next generation filters and understand the correlation between internal metrology and customer results.
  • Utilizes sound fundamentals like Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Communicates clearly to leadership, team members, and other key partners.
  • Works with global teams by overcoming cultural and language barriers
  • Uses global R&D and engineering resources in other time zones

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

  • BS in Science or Engineering ; background in Wet etch background preferred.
  • Hands on experience in semiconductor fabrication processes or analytical lab related environment and hazardous nature of chemicals used for Semicon.
  • Familiarity with a range of analytical techniques would be highly preferred.
  • Semiconductor R&D Experience >2 years preferred
  • Experience with D.O.E., process optimization and scale-up is highly preferred

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel 10 % travel, Teleconferences during off-hours

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Wet etch background preferred. Litho would be great as well.
  • Excellent data analytical skills
